Top 10 Best-Selling Digimon Cards on TCGPlayer Week of 9/4/2022

Howdy! How are you doing this week? I am once again diving into the top 10 best-selling Digimon Cards on TCGPlayer of the Week of September 4, 2022.

If you would like to visit last week’s post, please visit here.

Let’s start and dive right into the currently best-selling cards today! I am recording the information on Thursday 9/8/2022 in the late afternoon EST.

I am expecting the list to continue to be about the same as last few weeks, with X Record now circulating for over a month and we are quite a bit away from new sets being released. There has recently been a ban list put in place, but it appears to only affect Alphamon: Ouryuken. If you would like to visit the current ban list, please check it out here

Please note, I am continuing to basically only show the best selling cards as singles. So no booster boxes, cases or special packs but if it’s a promo card I will add it. Those are the rules I’m continuing to play with.

Analysis

This week, we have a mostly stable list with only one new addition and lots of movement within the list. Gallantmon: Crimson Mode has fallen out of the Top 10 since last week.

WereGarurumon struggles to keep its staying power within the Top 10 again this week. Last week it jumped back in and flung up into 6th place. Now it is currently 10th and has the most likely possibility to bounce back out of the Top 10 than any other card on the list.

Cool Boy continues to stick around but at 9th place, dropping 4 places. Considering its utility in the major Alphamon and DeathXmon decks, I still agree that it will continue to be in the Top 10 for a few weeks.

Davis fell back 1 place after raising 1 place since last week. Yet, he continues to be one of the most sought after cards of the release special booster and in all of the Digimon Card Game.

The MetalGreymon: Alterous Mode Promo has finally fallen a bit in placement, from 2nd to 7th. Last week it had overtaken Alphamon Ouryuken in sales but looks to have relaxed quite a bit.

BlackWarGreymon boosted in out of nearly nowhere from the New Awakening release, which was in May. Its value has slightly risen since it’s release to meet the value it has now.

Omnimon Zwart Defeat has doubled its rank after coming out of nowhere last week. It has also bounced back towards the top of the rankings after bouncing back into the Top 10 last week.

Alphamon Ouryuken has dropped again in placement but it’s value is about the same as it was last week. I expected it to continue to reduce price but the dropping of best selling status is not a fortunate showing for its value.

Lucemon: Chaos Mode has LEAPED in its selling position since last week. It has yoinked the third best-selling spot from Alphamon Ouryuken seemingly out of nowehere. I know Lucemon Chaos Mode is a great card and a surprise to get out of a Next Adventure box. But I’m still surprised at how high it’s gotten.

MagnaAngemon has risen two more places again to take the 2nd best-selling spot this week while maintaining a similar price.

In unchanging news, DeathXmon is the Best Selling Card on TCGPlayer.com for the past week. And it has risen to $67. Come back next week when it will still be the number 1 card, especially out of the X Record Box and still above or around $60.
