Top 10 Best Selling Digimon Cards on TCGPlayer – Week of 7/24/2022

Good morning! How are you doing?

Let’s start to dive right into the currently best-selling cards today! I am currently screenshotting the information on Sunday 7/24/2022 in the AM EST.

I am expecting the list to be very similar to last week, consisting of mostly chase cards from EX-02 Digital Hazard (which continues to drive me NUTS because I continue to try to be a good egg and only buy from my Local Card Stores instead of online like a consumer but noooooo! Nobody has it and not only that, it’s going to start shipping this Tuesday when the next main booster box BT-09 X Record is not only supposed to come out on July 29th, I have seen VIDEOS of people opening it due to pre-release events!) But I certainly digress. I expect this list to massively change come next week with the release of X Record with Alphamon Ouryuken most likely being the most sought after card. But we shall see!

Please note I am still basically only going to be showing the best selling cards as singles. So no booster boxes, cases or special packs but if it’s a promo card I will add it. Those are basically the rules I’m continuing to play with.

So let’s jump in! Geronimo!

10. Gallantmon Crimson Mode (Alt Art) [EX2-073]

MP: $47.98 (-$0.02)

9. WereGarurumon (P-008)

MP: $13.95

8. Kimeramon (BT8-084)

MP: $14.50

7. Lucemon: Chaos Mode [BT7-111]

MP: $33.00 (+$3.52)

6. Magnamon (BT8-038)

MP: $14.11

5. Davis Motomiya [BT3-093]

MP: $19.58 (+$1.23)

4. MagnaAngemon [BT1-060]

MP: $42.89 (+$2.83)

3. Gallantmon Crimson Mode [EX2-073]

MP: $31.99 (-$3.01)

2. Rapidmon (Golden) [BT8-039]

MP: $12.16 (-$3.52)

1. Beelzemon Blast Mode [EX2-074]

MP: $33.50 (-$5.48)

I am not surprised by the EX-02 chase cards continue to being on here, with a total of 3 and being the chase cards on this list. I’m also not surprised at all by Davis and MagnaAngemon continuing to be right here., they’ve stayed pretty statically in demand from what I’ve seen.

I am also not quite surprised by Golden Rapidmon’s appearance on the list, but I AM surprised by it being #2 best selling. I’m honestly a little shocked still because it is likely being used for Armor Rush decks but I swear that style of deck used more Magnamons but I could be wrong. That’s good for me, though, because I just grabbed two packs on a whim a few days ago and got a Golden Rapidmon boy outta them >:).

Additionally, the Magnamon jumping up from somewhere in the Top 20 surprised me, because I don’t reacall seeing him last week. I do remember seeing Kimeramon near the top 11-13, so I’m not surprised he’s up here. I mean, Kimeramon is also a baller card and DNA divigolution is a fun mechanic so good for him.

I am really not surprised by the staying power of Lucemon: Chaos Mode. I got one and didn’t realize it was a Secret Rare in maybe April or May and I was surprised by the price, which was still around $35 and it sold in a day or two! Like jeez bro.

But now to comment on the strangest addition – the Weregarurumon promo. I have no idea where this boy came from. But upon bashing my head against the wall known as searching the internet he appears to come from the special promotion packs that come with booster boxes of Special Release Booster 1.0 and 1.5. I have yet to open one of these as they are dumb expensive compared to other boxes, but it looks to be the only place it comes from. I’m just not quite sure why it’s jumping up in market demand. It could be it’s inheritable and regular effect, which actually look pretty good. But it may also be due to the Metalgarurumon X-Anitbody coming soon in the next box.

Thanks for reading, which of these cards is your favorite? Were these what you expected?

Godspeed,

Colossicus
